All Are Welcome!

The personal home on the web of Ashton E. Thomas, Esquire, Author, Marathon Runner Extraordinaire!

I’ve been restless my entire adult life without a reason. This condition has led me down many avenues. I can honestly say that my journey has been fun. Learning is my passion.

I’ve been in private law practice for 30 years. I’ve been a municipal prosecutor for the City of Elizabeth for 23 years. I have litigated civil, criminal, and family matters. I’m admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court, the US 3rd Circuit, and the US District Court of New Jersey.

I enjoy practice, and I’m eager to serve you.

Running and Marathoning

In my mind, running is 50% physical preparation and 50% mental.  Before you start a race, you must make up your mind that you will finish the event. That commitment keeps you going when adversity strikes.

You can see me running in the most recent NYC Half here:

And a few photos from the event:

The following are some shots from recent half/marathons I’ve participated in:

NY Road Runners 2016

Besides running, my involvement with the New York Road Runners gives me a chance to play on the global stage. At the 2016 NYC Marathon expo, I met runners from all over the world; countries like Turkey, Chile, China, Japan, Germany, Israel, Brazil, Australia, Poland, and so many more… I even met the Olympic champion Meb Keflezighi!

Most recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Vito Antuofermo, who has appeared in Godfather 3 and the Sopranos!

More to come!

Ashton the Author

My father always told me, “Son, a picture is better than a 1000 words.” When I wrote my novel, I had the good fortune to collaborate with a talented artist, Orlando Murgado, who illustrated scenes from the story. I posted them for your enjoyment.
